Now that the semester is winding down, it’s time to finalize your summer plans.

Now that the semester is winding down, it’s time to finalize your summer plans. Whether you’re staying in town, heading to another state for an internship or vacationing the globe, planning out your itinerary is probably the most important step in vacationing with ease.

If you’ve been reading The Traveling Gator since the beginning of this semester, we hope you’ve picked up a few tips to make planning your vacay much easier. If your memory needs some refreshing, here are a few pointers to jump-start your vacation dreams into definite plans.

1. Find a good deal

We’ve found the best websites for college students on a budget. For more information on great deals, check out this post.

2. Pack like a pro

After your plans are set, it’s time to get packing.. We’ve got the best tips to help you reduce your suitcase load and lighten your carry-on in this post.

3. Make the most of your vacay

A lot of times, people tend to stress out about money, activities and pictures during vacations — but why? Instead of worrying about making sure everything is perfect, sit back and relax. Vacations are for enjoyment, so check out this post on how to make the most of them.

4. Slather on the SPF

Wherever you go — the crystal clear waters of the Bahamas or the shores of the Colorado River — there will be sun, so make sure you pack lots of sunscreen and reapply throughout the day. For more tips, check out this post.

We hope you have a wonderful summer, vacation or not. Stay safe and have fun!
