I don’t know if it has to do with the fact that we are creeping into fall or that Starbucks is advertising the pumpkin spice latte again, but I am always in the mood for pumpkin. It only seems fitting that we change our taste buds with the weather and of course pumpkin seems to be the flavor that has us nostalgic for the holidays.

When you think of pumpkin I am sure your mind jumps to desserts. We all know there’s no doubt that pumpkin pie is going to make an appearance on every Thanksgiving table this year. Pumpkin is usually associated with sweets, but you can manipulate almost every recipe to include the delectable flavor.

From pancakes to chili, pumpkin can grace all of your favorite meals and turn them into a fall treat. One of my favorite recipes is pumpkin alfredo pasta. It’s super quick and easy to whip up, and it will have you licking your plate clean. If you mix a can of pumpkin puree and a jar of alfredo sauce with a dash of cinnamon you have pumpkin sauce! It’s a sweet take on the creamy, savory pasta. There is also a long list of pumpkin recipes on that will have you set for any holiday parties or for your own taste buds!

If you are looking for something healthier you can always opt for a pumpkin pie smoothie. It sounds dangerous for your hips and thighs, but it’s actually loaded with healthy non-fat ingredients like chia seeds and almond milk.

There are plenty of more meals that you can incorporate pumpkin into. If you search pumpkin recipes on Pinterest, you will find a gold mine of unique recipes.

So if you are a die-hard pumpkin fan, I highly recommend broadening your cravings to more creative meals than just the usual pie and latte.
