A Gainesville man was arrested Thursday morning after Alachua County Sheriff’s Office deputies found child pornography on his computer.

Jordan Rountree, 29, faces felony possession of child pornography charges, according to an arrest report.

At around 7 a.m. Thursday, deputies searched Rountree’s apartment on the 3800 block of Northwest 23rd Terrace on a warrant. Before the search, an undercover detective downloaded child pornography images that traced back to a computer at the residence, the report stated.

One folder on Rountree’s computer, the report stated, contained more than 100 nude and partially nude pictures of a young girl believed to be between 8 and 9 years old.

Rountree told deputies he wanted child pornography and spent the last five to six months downloading pictures and videos using search terms such as “young,” “nude” and “teen,” the report stated.

Deputies arrested Rountree and later booked him into the Alachua County Jail. He was released Friday after he posted $60,000 bail, a jail official said Sunday.
