The Alachua County Sheriff’s Office found human remains Thursday, which they believe belong to a local mother who has been missing since February.

Deputies found the body of who they believe is Keyanta Williams off County Road 235A near U.S. 441 in Alachua by a combined team of the Sheriff’s Office and the State Attorney’s Office, according to a press release from State Attorney Bill Cervone.

Williams was reported missing by her family Feb. 9 after she left to put gas in her 2010 Dodge Journey and did not return.

She would have been 40 years old last Sunday.

The remains were found after a plea agreement was made with her boyfriend, Kelvin Bryant, 41.

Bryant was arrested Feb. 11 on a charge of vehicle theft after he was found driving Williams’ car in Putnam County.

On March 20, he was indicted for first degree murder and destruction of evidence, according to Alachua County court records.

Bryant remains as of press time in the Alachua County Jail with no bond.
