Gainesville Police arrested a man early Monday after an officer found him with a mouth full of marijuana.

Finnex Dorian Comic Jackson, 21, of Cross City, Fla., was arrested on possession with intent to sell a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence charges, according to a GPD report.

At about 2 a.m. Monday, an officer stopped a car in the 2900 block of Southwest 13th Street for a tag light violation, according to the report. After he pulled the car over, the officer questioned Jackson, who mumbled his answers, according to the report.

Because the officer smelled marijuana on Jackson and saw remnants of the drug in the car, he asked Jackson to get out to be searched, according to the report.

During the search, Jackson spit out six small plastic bags of marijuana and a few unpackaged pieces of the drug onto the hood of the officer’s car, weighing about 7.2 grams in total.

Jackson was booked into the Alachua County Jail at about 2:30 a.m. Monday. He was released at about 10 p.m. after he met bond.
