Study Edge releases new iPad study app

Local tutoring company Study Edge released its new iPad app for students to have easier access to materials.

Catering to students that choose to watch live reviews from home, Study Edge launched this app, along with updates to its existing apps.

Anne Grundhoefer, Study Edge director of marketing,  said the study service wanted to better serve its users’ requests.

“We understand that students may not always be watching videos on their computer in a library setting, and we wanted to give them a way of getting last minute tips on the bus right from their phones or tablets,” she said.

Matt Hintze, founder of TutoringZone, another tutoring service, said his company has no current plans to create an app.

“Students’ lives are complicated enough,” he said. “We offer plain and simple tutoring and have found that to be effective in giving our customers a high quality of life.”

Hannah Carr, a 19-year-old UF accounting sophomore, who uses Study Edge for her managerial accounting and finance classes, said the “new calendar features on the app that update review times automatically to (her) iPhone” were especially useful.
