The search continued Monday for the four people aboard a plane that crashed in Broward County Sunday evening.
Rescue crews found two of the victims' bodies Monday, but have not yet recovered them, officials told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
On board the plane was money manager and UF athletics booster Bruce Barber, his wife Karen, their 14-year-old son Payton and family friend Phillip Marsh, according to the Sun-Sentinel.
Barber was a "Bull Gator," a booster who donates at least $14,000 per year to the athletics program, according to the Sun-Sentinel. The plane is registered to Bull Gator, Inc., in Sea Ranch Lakes, according to the Associated Press.
Shirley Barber, Bruce's mother, said the family was "definitely" on the aircraft, flying back from this weekend's football game between Florida and Tennessee. She said the Barbers' daughter, Chloe, had stayed behind in South Florida, according to the AP.
The single-engine plane left Gainesville and was headed to a Fort Lauderdale executive airport. It crashed around 6 p.m. near U.S. 27 just south of the Broward/Palm Beach County line, according to Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue.
Because the crash occurred in a remote location in the Everglades, the rescue crews had trouble accessing the site.
Officials are continuing to work the site Tuesday. The cause of the crash has not been determined.
