Dallas Cowboys defensive end Jeremy Mincey (92) causes Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (12) to fumble during the Cowboys' loss on Sunday.

Jeremy Mincey’s efforts were not enough.

In the Dallas Cowboys’ 26-21 loss to the Green Bay Packers in Sunday’s NFC Divisional Round matchup, the defensive end recorded five tackles — including one for loss — while also forcing and recovering a fumble.

But while Mincey was able to wreak havoc in the trenches, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers remained unfazed.

Rodgers completed 68.6-percent of his passes for 316 yards and three touchdowns.

While the Cowboys saw their season come to an end on Saturday, Mincey saw a resurgence in his playing time.

After being used sparingly last season, the 31-year-old Mincey — who was drafted in the sixth round of the NFL Draft (191st overall) out of UF by the New England Patriots — started all 16 regular-season games for the first time since the 2012 season.

He recorded a team-high six sacks in the regular season in addition to 36 total tackles and a forced fumble.

In his professional career, Mincey has 197 total tackles — including 140 solo stops — 26 sacks and seven forced fumbles.

Mincey enrolled at UF in 2004 after transferring from Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kansas.

In two seasons at Florida — coached by Ron Zook in 2004 and then Urban Meyer in 2005 — Mincey recorded 113 total tackles, 19.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks in 24 games. He also forced two fumbles and broke up nine passes during his time with the Gators.

Mincey was named to the All-Southeastern Conference second team in 2005 after leading all SEC defensive linemen with 61 tackles.
