Florida’s 2015 recruiting class picked up its ninth verbal commitment today.

Four-star offensive tackle George Brown (6-foot-6, 264 pounds, Cincinnati, Ohio, Winton Woods High) announced his verbal commitment to Florida on Friday afternoon. The commitment comes just hours before Friday Night Lights— one of UF’s biggest recruiting camps—is set to kick off.

Brown, the No. 13 ranked tackle in the country and the No. 5 prospect in Ohio per Rivals.com, joins three-star recruit Tyler Jordan (6-foot-5, 270 pounds, Jacksonville, Fla., Bishop Kenny High) as the only other offensive lineman in Florida’s class.

Brown chose Florida over Alabama and Kentucky and also had offers from LSU and Georgia, among others.

The commit is good news for the Florida coaching staff, which had two players— wide receiver Tristan Payton and safety Deontai Williams— decommit from Florida earlier this week.
