Florida offensive line — arguably is thinnest position heading into 2015 — just became one player deeper.
Three-star offensive lineman Richerd Desir-Jones (6-foot-3, 292 pounds, St. Thomas Aquinas High, Ft. Lauderdale) orally committed to Florida on Saturday.
Desir-Jones’ commitment brings Florida’s recruiting class to 11 players with National Signing Day approaching on Wednesday.
UF’s recruiting class is now in a four-way tie for 90th in the country, according to Rivals.com.
Desir-Jones sent out a string of six tweets from his personal account (@Chosen1_live75) between 4:33 p.m. and 4:51 p.m. Saturday starting with “(sic) University of Florida” and ending with “All thanks to my family, my coaches, and my teammates. They're the ones who make a better person and player … swamp life.”
Desir-Jones is the fourth offensive lineman in Florida’s 2015 recruiting class, joining fellow three-star recruits Michael Horton, Tyler Jordan and Brandon Sandifer.
UF’s offensive line is yearning for playmakers in 2015 after losing five linemen with starting experience — Trenton Brown, Max Garcia, Chaz Green D.J. Humphries and Tyler Moore.
Holland narrows down list: Four-star linebacker Jeffery Holland (6-foot-1, 225 pounds, Trinity Christian High, Jacksonville) revealed his final four schools Saturday on Twitter.
Those schools are Ole Miss, Auburn, Florida and UCLA.
Holland is the No. 20 outside linebacker in the country and the No. 50 overall prospect in the state of Florida, according to Rivals.com.
He is expected to make his decision during National Signing Day on Wednesday at 10 a.m. on ESPNU.
Oral commitments are non-binding until a national letter of intent is signed on National Signing Day on Feb. 4.
