It was a tough day for the Gators, as they suffered losses in both singles and doubles action in the ITA All-American in Tulsa, Okla.

After earning a hard-fought victory against Tennessee’s Rhyne Williams on Friday, senior Alexandre Lacroix lost in straight sets in the quarterfinals to Virginia’s Alex Domijan (6-3, 6-4) on Saturday.

Lacroix’s first loss of the season ended his bid for his third-consecutive singles championship.

In the doubles semifinals, Florida’s duo of Lacroix and Nassim Slilam faced a tough Ohio State pair in Chase Buchanan and Blaz Rola.

However, Lacroix and Slilam came up just short of making the finals, losing 6-4, 6-3.

The Gators won’t compete in tournament play until they host the USTA/ITA Southeast Regional Championship from Oct. 21-25.

Women’s Consolation:

Sophomore Allie Will moved on to the finals in the main draw singles consolation Saturday after picking up a victory against Georgia Tech’s Noelle Hickey.

No.5-Will won in straight-sets (6-3, 6-0) and will play No.15 Aeriel Ellis of Texas in the finals Sunday morning.

In the doubles consolation semifinals, Georgia’s duo of Nadja Gilchrist  and Lilly Kimbell moved on to the finals via walkover against UF’s team of Will and Sofie Oyen.
