If you’ve only just arrived in Gainesville, chances are you’ve already heard of The Swamp -- at least you should have.

Watching a football game inside Ben Gill Griffin Stadium is a must. Even if you aren’t football’s biggest fan, soaking up the atmosphere and cheering on the Gators with 90,000 other fans is guaranteed to be an entertaining day, regardless of the result.

One thing us ladies think about is what to wear. As an international student who has limited knowledge of American football, I still want to look like I know what I’m talking about!

When it comes to gameday fashion, you want to keep it cool and casual. Sitting around in 90-degree heat means shorts, tank tops and T-shirts are your best options.

Victoria’s Secret PINK recently released its new collegiate collection, featuring official Florida Gators merchandise. The new collection includes everything from football jerseys and hoodies to track pants and T-shirts, allowing you to show your school spirit and still look fashionable.

For bottoms, keep it simple and wear a pair of shorts. Denim cutoffs always work, but if you’re feeling extra spirited, you can always wear blue or orange shorts. If all else fails, wear a dress!

Finally, you need a sturdy pair of shoes for all the walking you’ll be doing. White Converse All-Stars are classic, yet still give the outfit a sporty edge.

Top everything off with a pair of aviator sunglasses, and you’re ready for your first visit to The Swamp.

You may not know what’s happening on Florida Field, but at least you’ll look the part!
