Gainesvillista: How to pamper yourself for a night

Sometimes you just need a night to take care of yourself. If you are like me, you might not do it often enough. My favorite way of to relax is by using products that are good for me. Here are the steps I take to have an instantly relaxing evening with me, myself and I:

  1. Light my favorite candle and turn on a lamp in the bathroom. The amazing rose-scented fragrance fills the bathroom and makes me feel so relaxed.
  2. Fill my tub with super hot water, and add my favorite Lush Bath Bomb or Bubble Bar. My favorites are “Sex Bomb” and “Rose Jam.”
  3. Put on a face mask. I have two go-to favorites: Freeman Black Charcoal & Black Sugar Facial Polishing Mask or the Sephora Paper Face Mask in the “Rose” scent, which helps moisturize and brighten my face.
  4. Setup my iPad and get into the bath; I let the luxuriously silky water soak into my skin while I watch “Orange Is The New Black,” “Once Upon A Time” or my favorite video blogger.
  5. After I get out of the bath and moisturize my body with my Origins Ginger Souffle Whipped Body Cream, I wash off my face mask, use my Bioderma Cleansing Water and Lush Tea Tree Toner to cleanse my skin.
  6. I then put on my Aveeno face moisturizer and my Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Eye Cream. Finally, I use my Mario Badescu Drying Lotion to leave on overnight if I have any spots.
  7. I brush out my hair and apply the Organix Moroccan Argan Oil to the ends, to re-moisturize it.
  8. After getting into my softest pajamas and my robe, I make my favorite herbal caffeine-free “Fig Rose” tea from Teavana.
  9. Finally, I curl up in my bed to watch “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” my favorite late night show on TV.

Though it may be a lot, doing these nine things make me feel like I’m a queen. When I have these “pamper nights” I feel so relaxed and recharged the next morning – ready to tackle the rest of the week. Just make sure you blow out the candle.
