I don't agree with the points you laid out in your column this Wednesday. The United States does not have an official language, and it should not. We are a nation of immigrants, and we should embrace that rather than enforcing people of other cultures to conform.

Additionally, the issue of voter suppression is far more important than the issue of language barriers. Don't you think it's more important that American citizens are informed and accurately represented by their government than that they all speak the same language? Just because you speak three languages doesn't make your point valid.

Also, if you honestly think our nation's current leaders believe that “diversity is strength," then you haven't been paying attention.
