Strong defense gives Gators hope
I bet Jevan Snead's 86-yard touchdown pass to Shay Hodge made you queasy. I can't blame you. That was Major Wright's one-way ticket to a SportsCenter highlight - and not the good kind.

FOURTH QUARTER
Here's a shocker.
Before the game at Tennessee, freshman cornerback Janoris Jenkins was asking roommate and fellow corner Joe Haden more questions than usual.
It took Urban Meyer just 14 seconds into a nearly 24-minute press conference to say one of the biggest factors in UF's success so far this season.
Coach Urban Meyer said Monday the one thing he's hoping to improve on offensively is scoring in the red zone.
First, if you want to get Urban Meyer mad, talk about the new clock rules. The new rules have significantly reduced the number of plays a team can run, as evident in UF running less than 50 -plays against Tennessee-a game the Gators dominated. The new rules cause the clock to always be reset after a play, barring a timeout. And when teams have 40 seconds, instead of 25, to get a play off, there's less plays that run. Meyer called the new rules "awful."
KNOXVILLE, Tenn - Man, you're such a frigging stud. You've got the prettiest gal in school walking arm in arm with you almost 24/7. You drive up every day in a sleek Mercedes. Your Abercrombie and Hollister shirts are always neatly pressed. You've got Division-I coaches texting you every day, saying how you're their final piece in a national championship run.
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Emmanuel Moody said he doesn't care about being a feature back. He just wants to have a role on a team.
GAME OVER
You shouldn't really like UCLA.
Good luck, Southeastern Conference.
It's just best to come out and say this.
Tim Tebow teetered back and forth on his feet for a moment and let out an "ummm."

Welcome back, Aaron Hernandez. After a 14-yard shanked punt by Miami, the Gators capitalized with a five-play drive that ended with UF's sophomore tight end catching a Tim Tebow pass in the endzone. Hernandez missed the season opener for undisclosed reasons. Tebow looked like he was about to get sacked, but Tebow being Tebow, he got away from the 'Canes linemen and lofted one a few yards deep in the endzone to an open Hernandez.
The Hurricanes are driving and are up to UF's 25-yard line, but UF's run defense has actually done a pretty decent job so far. Quarterback Robert Marve has made a couple of gutsy runs, including one on 4th-and-5 when he got eight yards. But Graig Cooper hasn't broken free for a big one yet, so maybe the Gators d-line was right when they said they were better. Still, one more first down and Miami is all but guaranteed at leat a 7-3 game.
