Richardson rolls, Gators defense commands second half in win

Florida now sits one win away from bowl eligibility after its 41-24 win over the Aggies Nov. 5. The get-right outing was exactly what the Gators needed following two losses and before hosting South Carolina Saturday. UF’s defense improved on a rocky first half, where it allowed 307 yards and 16 first downs by shutting out the Aggies in the second half.

Georgia loss shows Florida’s progress, distance to go

Georgia, the No. 1 team in the country and reigning national champion, proved to be too much for Florida Saturday en route to a 42-20 win. Georgia’s best players like Bowers and junior defensive lineman Jalen Carter dominated as head coach Kirby Smart’s team looked the part of the country’s top team.

Gators return to action in rivalry matchup versus Georgia

Just a year ago, Florida fell to the No. 1 Bulldogs in a lopsided affair. Three turnovers in the second quarter alone senta struggling Gators team back to Gainesville with very little to show. Now, Billy Napier and veteran members of the team must lead Florida against the 2022 Bulldogs, once again ranked No. 1 in the Associated Press Top 25.

Break off a branch: Gators score 52 between the hedges

The circumstances of this game were special. The annual neutral site meeting between the Southeastern Conference rivals had to shift away from its normal setting in Jacksonville for two seasons. The Gators handily one won both matchups, but the players involved knew the weight of getting the unique opportunity to go play “between the hedges.”
