The Florida women’s swimming and diving team wrapped up the 2015 NCAA Championships in ninth place, marking Florida’s 15th straight top-10 finish at the meet.
The No. 4 Gators women’s swimming & diving team is looking to cap off its season on a high note as 11 swimmers and one diver compete today for the 2015 NCAA Championships at the Greensboro Aquatic in Greensboro, North Carolina.

It was the close races that the Gators could not claim versus the Bulldogs over a week ago that led to the losses, but against the Golden Gophers, the men’s team won those close races to earn their third victory of the season. The same cannot be said for the UF women (3-2, 3-1 SEC) as they conceded those close races for the second straight meet, losing to the No. 10 ranked Minnesota women, 183-117.
For the Florida swimming and diving teams this weekend, it was bittersweet as the No. 5 ranked men’s squad (3-1, 2-1 Southeastern conference) defeated Minnesota by a score of 167-125. However the No. 11 ranked Gators women’s team (3-2, 3-1 SEC) fell to the No. 10 ranked Gophers 183-117.

Make it a combined 36-0 all-time for UF’s men’s and women’s swimming and diving team (M: 1-0, 1-0 Southeastern conference; W: 2-0, 2-0 SEC) against LSU (M: 0-1, 0-1 SEC; W 1-1, 0-1 SEC) as the Florida men’s squad defeated the Tigers by a score of 162.5-122.5 while the women won 166-134 on Friday afternoon.
