While he excelled throughout high school, leaving him with hopes for a UF track career, his athletic trajectory didn’t go as planned. He spent his first few semesters hoping to get the chance to join UF’s track and field team, but he had to find a spot to compete elsewhere.
Florida’s track and field teams took the podium 25 times during the two-day home meet. Having earned 10 gold medals, the Gators were more than comfortable at the Pepsi Florida Relays.
The Gators started their 2023 outdoor campaign strong. The FSU Relays tournament was full of debuts and personal bests.
Moore was recognized as the Indoor National Women's Field Athlete of the Year for the second time in a row by the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
Florida’s men’s and women’s track and field teams finished third overall at the NCAA Indoor Championships to conclude the indoor season. The men’s team earned a total of 33 points; the women had 45 points. Moore won the Gators’ only gold medals of the weekend.
The women's team earned 84 points and 10 medals, three of which were gold. The men finished with 73 points.
The Florida Gators stayed in Gainesville to compete in the Florida University Last Chance Meet Thursday.
