After traveling more than 2,094 miles to Boise, Idaho, to wrap up the indoor season, the Gators will have a short trip this weekend as they travel to Orlando for their first meet of the outdoor season.

During Omar Craddock’s freshman year, he earned All-America honors after the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships. He also finished third at the Southeastern Conference Indoor Championship, along with placing second at the SEC Outdoor Championship for the triple jump.
When it came to the heptathlon, senior Gray Horn spent his 2012 indoor season in first place. In both the Texas A&M Challenge and the Southeastern Conference Championship, Horn not only led the field after the first day of competition, but went on to win both meets.
The first day of NCAA Indoor Championship wrapped up on a bittersweet note for the Gators.

He entered the last event only 97 points ahead of Kevin Lazas from Arkansas, but 2:51.25 later, Horn was able to claim his second SEC heptathlon title.

Last year, the men’s track and field team won its first Southeastern Conference Indoor Championship since 2004. The women and men combined to win 10 SEC individual event titles and set four school records.
