Whether you're by the water, at the grill or on the couch, this playlist will get you through your memorial day.

Memorial Day marks the unofficial start of the summer, and what better way to celebrate the three-day weekend than with songs to get you in the summer mood?

People all over the U.S. will be celebrating the long weekend from Friday afternoon through Memorial Day on Monday. Now that the weather’s warm, people will be flocking to the nearest body of water to keep cool.

Whether you’re barbecuing on the beach, lake or your backyard, this playlist will keep the party going with patriotic tunes and songs that are on track to be summer hits.

Keep an eye on our Avenue social media accounts as we prepare to launch the section’s very own Spotify account. Here, readers will be able to access all the songs our writers review and playlists that we put together. Check us out on Twitter @TheFloridaAve for updates.
