We’d love to give you all the details on these great events, but there just isn’t time! Gainesville is always buzzing with exciting local events, so don’t miss out. Here’s a quick rundown of what’s coming up:

Thursday:

The Gator Salsa Club offers free Bachata dance lessons every Thursday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium between gates 3 and 4.

Friday:

The Atlantic holds its 2000s night with DJ Drew Love on Friday night from 10 to 1:45. Guests 21 and up are welcome with no cover charge.

Saturday:

First Magnitude Brewing Company is joining forces with the Conservation Initiative for the Asian Elephant to celebrate the 4th Annual World Elephant Day Celebration. The event, which will run from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., will feature beer discounts for donations, a silent auction, CIFAE apparel for sale, raffle prizes and Southeast Asian art .

Sunday:

Sundays at The Atlantic mean karaoke with DJ Yurgie Bear. Guests 21 and up can sing along and enjoy all-night happy hour from 8 p.m. until close.

Monday:

Tuesday:

Tuesdays are trivia nights at 1000 Degrees. Questions and prizes are open to all ages.

Wednesday:

Union Street Farmers Market is a weekly event held on Bo Diddley Community Plaza from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

High Dive is showing “Donnie Darko” on Wednesday as part of their weekly cult movie nights with Soul Spice Tacos. The showing is free and begins at 9 p.m.
