EDITOR'S NOTE: The UPD offense report from the March 20 incident can be viewed in full at the bottom of this article.

UF Student Body President Jordan Johnson was cited for disorderly conduct by the University Police Department after demanding a SNAP ride to his off-campus home at about 1:45 a.m. Saturday.

Officers responded to a call from two SNAP employees, whose van was parked on the north side of Museum Road near Beaty Towers. When the officers arrived, the employees pointed out Johnson, who was walking down the sidewalk with a woman, the report stated.

Johnson was shaky on his feet and officers called for him to stop. As they approached, they could smell alcohol on his breath and noticed his eyes were watery, the report stated.

His hands were in his front pockets, and, when asked to remove them, he refused and became belligerent and uncooperative, according to the report. The officer placed Johnson in wrist restraints to keep him from making a scene, the report stated.

When asked to identify himself, Johnson said, "You know who I am," according to the report.

When asked again, he said he was the Student Body president, the report stated.

SNAP employees Aljahara Lewis and Kendal Orgera gave witness statements saying Johnson and his girlfriend got in the SNAP van and asked to be driven to his home off-campus, the report stated.

When the employees refused to take them to his off-campus apartment, he got angry and pointed out that, as president, he funded SNAP and used it to get home frequently, the report stated.

After continued refusal, Johnson said "Student Government should pull its funding from this [unknown explicative] program," the report stated.

During the ride, Johnson poked Lewis and asked if she was awake. The witnesses said they were uncomfortable and stopped the van to let the two out, then radioed UPD when Johnson stayed, the report stated.

While his girlfriend begged him to leave, Johnson taunted the employees from outside the van until they radioed for help a second time, the report stated.

After being read his rights, Johnson identified himself and admitted he asked for a ride to his off-campus home. He admitted saying he used the service to get home often and asking if Lewis was awake, but he denied touching her, the report stated.

During the interview, Johnson mentioned that UPD was a bad agency for their involvement in the recent shooting of an international graduate student, the report stated.

Johnson's girlfriend, Erica Rakow, told officers they'd never ridden SNAP before and didn't realize they couldn't be taken off campus, the report stated.

Johnson was given a notice to appear for disorderly conduct and initially refused to sign it, saying he'd rather go to jail, according to the report.

After an officer explained to Johnson what going to jail would involve, Johnson changed his mind and signed the notice, the report stated.

Johnson said he had no comment.

Huntley Johnson, Jordan Johnson's lawyer who has represented 23 UF football players, said Jordan Johnson realizes he made a mistake.

Jordan Johnson said that, if he could redo that evening, he would do things much differently, according to Huntley Johnson.

Jordan Johnson is also taking steps to ensure something like this doesn't happen again, Huntley Johnson said.

Clairification 3/24/10: The Alligator has clarified in the opening paragraph that Jordan Johnson was cited for disorderly conduct.
