The Fest 8 Program: Great Breakdown, Not Inclusive

The Fest 8 program that pass holders receive with their wrist band is a fantastic tour of the bands playing at Fest, nearly every act gets at least a paragraph of description, plus a "For Fans of" comparison. In addition there are band profiles, fest organizer picks of best bands and some good info on places to eat.

Now the bad: if you find a band you like, there is no info on when exactly they play. Sure, the pages are organized by Venue and the doors opening time is listed, but that doesn't help you know when the band that is three acts in is playing, which makes figure out schedule conflicts a headache.

If you counting on a better idea of what the schedule looks like, the fest organizers have you covered On line with an awesome spreadsheet which will answer any logistical question you might have: location, time, price for individual shows and a great comparison of conflicts.

See the "Check out the spreadsheet!" link at the top of The Fest's schedule page.

Also, check out the insightful list on page 63 of the program, titled "Top 13 reasons Why I Hate Tony!," which details the top 13 schedule conflicts of the Fest as seen by Var Thelin, a No Idea Records staff member.

The Tony that Thelin refers to is Tony Weinbender, head curator of the Fest. To hear some of Tony's top picks, head to the Introduction to Best of Fest post.
