Nathan Vasquez, 20, a firefighter for Marion County, climbed the stairs on Sept. 11, 2020, in honor of those who sacrificed their lives. Vasquez said this was his first time climbing the steps at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium and wore his Maltese Cross, an international symbol of the sacrifices of fire service members.
