It’s been just under two weeks since the Florida volleyball team took the court for a meaningful game. After the cancellation of last weekend’s Active Ankle Invitational, the No. 3 Gators will return to the O’Connell Center to host a group of nonconference opponents.

Despite the cancellation of the Active Ankle Challenge, which included matches against No. 23 Michigan State, American and North Carolina Greensboro, the No. 3 Gators found a way to be productive.

It was a clean sweep for the Gators as they visited Puerto Rico to take part in the SEC-ACC Challenge. Over the weekend, Florida easily took down its two opponents, unranked N.C. State and then-No. 16 North Carolina, in sweeping fashion, as the team did not lose a single set in its two matches.

Shainah Joseph took a leap and sent a spike down the baseline for the first point of the game. From there, the Gators would go on to beat Coastal Carolina in a friendly exhibition against the school from the Big South conference.
