Hi, friends. My name is Erin Jester, and I’m your editor this semester. This will be my fifth Fall semester in Gainesville, and after I graduate in December, I plan to continue working in newspapers. I don’t have much free time anymore — being an editor is a full-time job — but when I do, I enjoy going to ska shows and the beach, reading mid-20th century British and American literature, singing along with old Joni Mitchell records, rolling around the living room floor with my dog and cats and practicing modern dance. If you have an idea or complaint, or you just want to chat, shoot me an email at ejester@alligator.org. I’d love to hear from you.

Spring has officially sprung, bringing with it warmer weather, blooming flowers and, as always, a terrible allergy season for Gainesville. Aside from Spring Break, the absolute best part about this season is the opportunity to go on dates that involve being outdoors. So go ahead and pack up your winter coats, lose the jeans and grab a bathing suit. The beautiful weather is calling your name and offering you plenty of new and exciting date ideas.
