On Sunday afternoon, January 26, 2020, multiple people attended the Puppy Yoga class that the Gainesville local yoga center Flow Space held. Trainee guide dog puppies ranging from the youngest being 12-14 weeks old and the oldest being a year old, enjoyed socializing with everyone.
Amy Guerra, 22, a senior at the University of Florida studying microbiology, is the president of the UF Puppy Club. She picks up one of the playful puppies to put in front of the yoga class. She has raised three trainee puppies and described each to have unique personalities.
Mikayla Holder, 24, hugs one of the guide dog puppy trainees that attended the yoga session on the Sunday afternoon. She is a physical therapy student at the University of St. Augustine and she “really enjoyed the time here,” she later said “I don’t do a lot of yoga, so incorporating the puppies was a good way to just kind of get a lot of people to come and also just experience the yoga flow and bring some people here.”
