An ambulance, lights and sirens blaring, was involved in a car crash late Sunday evening.
According to a Gainesville Police report, the ambulance was hit by a westbound Honda Accord while traveling through the intersection of Northwest 13th Street and Northwest 16th Avenue.
GPD Cpl. David Blizzard, who happened to be on duty at the intersection, witnessed the accident, GPD spokeswoman Summer Hallett said.
The patient in the ambulance, who was being transported from Union County, was taken to Shands at AGH by Alachua County Fire Rescue.
The patient flat-lined four times, but was revived and survived, Hallett said.
The three paramedics in the ambulance were taken to Shands at UF for minor injuries, the report stated.
The driver of the Honda, Crystal Bolton, 17, was left with minor facial injuries when her car's air bag deployed, the report stated.
Blizzard issued three citations to Bolton involving driving with a suspended or revoked license, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, and an expired tag of less than six months, the report stated.
