Fight breaks out outside Club Decadence

Two Gainesville women were arrested after their fight in a downtown parking lot drew a crowd of about 50 people.

When Gainesville Police officers responded to Club Decadence, 12 SW Second St., at about 1:30 a.m., they saw Tawanna Smalls, 21, and Patricia Palmer, 21, punching, kicking and wrestling with each other.

Although GPD spokesman Keith Kameg said it never became clear why the women were fighting, officers reported that they heard Smalls say that she would seek revenge on someone while Palmer said she was fighting because someone was "messing with her cousin," according to the GPD arrest report.

According to the report, the fight between Smalls and Palmer caused several smaller fights to break out.
