The Halloween weekend is finally here! Too bad you’ve been so busy studying for exams and writing papers that you almost forgot your favorite holiday. You know, the one where you get to stuff your face with candy and wear as little clothing as legally possible?

If you waited until the last minute to put your costume together — have no fear. With a quick trip to a nearby Halloween store and a shopping trip in your own closet, you can create a great last minute costume while still looking fashionable.

Last Minute Lady Gaga

Dressing up like Gaga isn’t as difficult as you may think. While you may not have a meat dress hanging in the back of your closet, you can pull off your very own outrageous Lady Gaga costume quickly andk best of all, cheaply.

Have an old one-piece swimsuit laying around? Even better, do you have one of last summer’s monokinis? What about a dance leotard? This will act as the foundation for your Gaga costume. Cut off one of the arm straps creating the one-shouldered look that Lady Gaga frequently wears.

If you have the time, try getting creative. To create Gaga’s crystal leotard, take a poster board and cut out several diamond shapes varying in size to create “crystals”. Glue them to the shoulder—and wherever else you feel appropriate.  For more info on how to create Gaga’s origami look, check out the video below.

Feeling a bit more adventurous? Try making some cut-outs on the sides. If you’re not sure if you want to be that much of a showstopper, throw a boyfriend blazer on top of your leotard.

No Lady Gaga would be complete without a blonde wig and oversized sunglasses. You can find wigs at the Halloween store. You may even get lucky and find Lady Gaga’s signature hair-bow wig. Top off your look with a pair of towering heels from your own closet and your look is complete. This costume is sure to have people doing a double-take when you walk by.

PS- Leave a comment below and let me know if you dress up as Lady Gaga for Halloween. If not, I’d love to hear (and see) what you dressed up as. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
