I read Matt Watts’ diatribe about our esteemed women’s basketball head coach Amanda Butler in Thursday’s paper.
Firstly, is it unknown for head coaches to have a temper (see Coach Summitt, paint stripping from walls)? I submit that this is sour grapes on behalf of some disgruntled former players. Trumae Lucas now plays for Delaware Blue Hens.
If this was such an important issue, why was it not published in 2010 when these so-called “stars” transferred? Butler is doing a fine job and has the fans’ support. Go Gators!
