There's a SausageFest this weekend, but women are invited, too.
From noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, students and alumni can enjoy food and games in the Murphree Area Courtyards for its eighth annual SausageFest cookout.
The event is free and open to the public.
At the festival, in addition to sausages, there will be grilled hot dogs and hamburgers. Vegetarian choices will also be available.
T-shirts will be available for sale at the event for $10, and Murphree Area residents will also have the chance to pie their favorite residential assistants for $1, according to Carlos Guerrero, a Murphree Area residential assistant.
All proceeds from the T-shirt sales and the pie-your-RA activity will be donated to the Humane Society.
"It's for a good cause and helps bring people together," Guerrero said. "Not just within the Murphree area, but pretty much everyone else on campus."
There will be a live jazz band performance as well as an open-mic session. Attendees can slide down a 30-foot-tall water slide, SausageFest's biggest one yet, Guerero said.
"It's a Sunday afternoon with free food and a water slide," Guerrero said. "It doesn't get much better than that."
