A Miami Beach man was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly bought three bags of dog food stuffed with about $1,800 of stolen shaving supplies.

Heriberto Enriquez, 39, tried to leave the Super Walmart near Waldo Road with the shaving supplies concealed inside the bags, according to a Gainesville Police Department arrest report.

Surveillance video shows Enriquez stashing the products into the bags of dog food, according to the report.

Enriquez paid for the dog food, according to the report, and began to walk out of the store.

As Enriquez passed the registers, Wal-Mart employee Brent Chewning told Enriquez to stop, according to the report, and Enriquez complied.

He was arrested at about 3 p.m. and booked into the Alachua County Jail on charges of grand theft.

During questioning, Enriquez said he was released from prison the previous week, according to the report.

“This is the way I make money,” Enriquez said, according to the report.

As of press time, he remained in jail with a bond of $10,000.
