The spring and summer seasons are a time to invite some brighter and lighter colors into your beauty routine whether it’s on your face or in your hair.  Use these lovely trends for this coming season to play up your favorite features.

Bright lipstick

Warm up your look by adding a pop of color to your lips like a bright fuchsia, coral or red. There are many color options out there for every skin tone so don’t let their brightness intimidate you. If you still think lipstick is not for you there are tinted lip balms and lip glosses that are not as heavy or bright that can give a softer version of a bright lipstick. The trick to pulling this trend off is to make your lips the center of attention while keeping the rest of you makeup simple.

Nude nails

There’s no better way to dress up your nails than with a fresh, new coat of nail polish. For those of us who need a break from those bright and pastel colors switch it up with a simple pale or nude polish. A cream or white color can still make a statement and it will match with everything. Plus, the pale colors will look great against your new tan.

Blue and green eye liner

Be daring by bringing out those lovely eyes with a sweep of blue or green for this summer. These colors work great with light and dark eyes alike. You can either line the top or bottom of your eyes with no eye shadow for a bold look. Just like bright lipstick, you want to keep the rest of your makeup simple to bring all the attention up to the eyes.

There’s a new way for you to bring some personality into your hair for this summer. Hair chalking was a big thing last year but it tends to dry the hair. Avoid any color rubbing off on your clothes while also hydrating your locks with the hydrating color mask from Urban Outfitters. The color stays in your hair for up to five washes. This is a great trend for girls with lighter hair since it’ll probably be a little harder to show up on darker shades.
