To give the class of 2020 a feel for UF, a weekly video will be released showing a student leader.

The Dean of Students Office and the New Student and Family Programs Division have partnered with UF Social Media to make the videos. The first video, released Tuesday, showed Michael Cizek, UF’s Mr. Two Bits. Cizek will host the show, “Tandem Two Bits,” while riding a two-person bicycle every Tuesday.

To make the videos while biking, the 20-year-old said he attaches cameras to his handlebars and helmet.

“The camera on the handlebars faces me, while the one on my head faces the interviewee,” the UF finance sophomore said.

He said golf carts protect the bikers while they record.

“It makes for an interesting traffic jam: two golf carts and a tandem bike,” he said. “Who would have guessed?”

Cizek said he thought of the idea after buying a tandem bike, which has two seats, in 2014.

Lauren Schuhle, a UF mechanical engineering senior, said she thinks the videos should have been done sooner.

“It’s a great way to represent the Student Body,” the 22-year-old said. “It’s unexpected and funny. I hope the incoming class of 2020 appreciates it like I do.”
