Featuring eight top-25 teams, the Southeastern Conference contains some of the top competition in the country.

Sitting at the head of the conference is Florida, a team that has yet to be defeated in conference play.

With a 10-0 record after Friday night’s victory over Alabama, Florida has just three more games until the end of the season to remain undefeated in the SEC.

The Gators (15-2, 10-0 SEC) extended their winning streak to 10 with a 6-1 victory over the Crimson Tide (4-14, 0-10 SEC) in Tuscaloosa at the Alabama Tennis Stadium.

“I am really proud of the Gators today. We came out in some tough conditions and did not miss a beat,” coach Roland Thornqvist said in a release. “Florida continued to play well in doubles and used that momentum to work through singles.”

The No. 7 duo of Brooke Austin and Kourtney Keegan began doubles by defeating the No. 68 team of Erin Routliffe and Natalia Maynetto 6-2. The team of Anna Danilina and Brianna Morgan clinched the doubles point for the Gators with a 6-2 win over Andie Daniell and Joanna Nena Savva.

No. 8 Austin started Florida off strong in singles play, swiftly defeating No. 36 Routliffe 6-1, 6-3.

No. 47 Keegan took the win over Maynetto 6-1, 6-2 to give the Gators a 3-0 lead over the Crimson Tide.

No. 70 Danilina would then clinch the match for Florida, defeating Savva 6-1, 6-3.

Spencer Liang defeated Bennett Dunn 6-1, 6-2 to extend the Gators lead to five.

No. 109 Josie Kuhlman then defeated Danielle Spielmann in a close first set 7-6, and took the second set 6-0 to give the Gators a 6-0 lead.

Brianna Morgan took the first set of her match against No. 50 Daniell 6-4, but dropped the second set 7-5. In the only match to go to a third set, Daniell secured the only point for Alabama, winning 10-6.

The Gators next face Auburn on Sunday at 2 p.m.

“We have a lot of talent on this team and I think that we showed that depth in our lineup tonight,” Thornqvist said. “We will continue to work on the little things to improve and looking forward to a tough match with Auburn on Sunday.”
