Following a 2-1 weekend that boosted them in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association team rankings, the Gators, featuring four top-100 ITA singles players, aimed to secure just their third multi-match win streak of the season.

With a shutout win at home against North Florida, the Gators traveled to the University of Alabama Tennis Complex in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to continue their Southeastern Conference play.

As Florida (10-9, 3-5 SEC) took full control, junior Jeremy Jin closed out the match in a straight-set victory that sailed Florida to a 4-2 victory over No. 41 Alabama (9-10, 3-5 SEC).

Doubles started off with dominance from the freshman-junior duo of Andreas Timini and Kevin Edengren in the third position. For a sixth game in a row, they won their doubles match. They took the first half of the doubles point with an efficient 6-1 set.

This efficiency was evident on another court, where senior Pablo Perez Ramos and junior Adhithya Ganesan took an early lead. Sophomore Matic Kriznik and freshman Jacob Olar fought back and pushed the match to two additional games. The Gators wrapped up the doubles match with a settling 7-5 victory.

But the Gators on the main court couldn’t do the same, as junior Henry Jefferson and senior Tanapatt Nirundorn were extinguished with a bashing, 6-3 defeat. Even though the No. 22 pairing got packed up, the tides rolled in Florida’s favor.

The Gators took a comfortable lead with their fourth consecutive doubles point and didn’t let off the gas.

Florida’s seniors were just two of three Gators to take the clear first set advantage as they outplayed their opponents.

Ramos worked freshman Yoshka Sborowsky all around the court. The Gator delivered powerful serves, sharp returns and controlled shot-making that helped close out points quickly. Sborowsky dueled well but ultimately fell 6-4 in the first set. Ramos extends his win streak to two and his overall singles record to 13-4 with his 6-1 final set.

Similarly, senior Lorenzo Claverie notched the second 6-4 first-set win of the day as he controlled junior Andrill Zimnokh. The Venezuelan kept the pace and grabbed Florida’s third point with a dominant 6-3 victory.

Jin trailed in his first set, but as the set pushed to the later games, he regained control. JIn tied it up at four and won three straight games to sneak in for the lead with the third 6-4 beginning set. He later went on to secure Florida's victory with another successful 6-4 close-out set.

Even though some of the courts went in Alabama’s favor, the Gators didn't back down. Edengren fought back to cut into his deficit as he fell 6-3 in the first set. As he pushed in the next, his match went unfinished in his favor 5-4, thanks to Jin’s conclusion.

Kriznik made quick work of Jefferson as he crushed the Gator in straight-sets. The Englishman fell 6-1 in the first set and stayed close but ultimately fell 7-6 (7-4) in the last.

Ganesan plunged in his sets as he couldn't overcome his 6-3 first-set defeat. His match was abandoned, granting Alabama's first point.

Despite a fast-paced start and midway fade, the Gators made it out alive.

They look to continue dominating on the road with their matchup against No. 48 Tennessee (9-11, 1-7 SEC) at 11 a.m. on Sunday at the Barksdale Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee.
