With the end of the semester in sight, Hanukkah underway and Christmas just around the corner, many of you might be feeling overwhelmed.
While studying for final exams, you find yourself daydreaming about what you’re going to wear to your boyfriend’s sister’s Hanukkah party or your BFF’s Secret Santa bash. While you’re at it, you might as well start thinking about the perfect New Year’s Eve dress too, because you’ll be ringing in 2011 before you know it.
You can rest easy though, because I’ve found the perfect holiday dresses to finish off 2010.
Lady in Lace
Lace is one of those trends that seems to come and go with the wind. However, right now it is back in a big, big way.
Take a cue from Blake Lively’s alter ego Serena van der Woodsen on "Gossip Girl." This sexy Zuhair Murad lace number is anything but matronly.
While this dress has several lookalikes out there, if you can’t seem to find one that tickles your fancy, you can create a similar look with a pair of lace tights and a little black dress. While it won’t be the exact look Miss van der Woodsen wore to one of her many soirees, it gives off the same effect.
All That Glitters
While the lace Murad dress is absolutely to die for, when it comes to New Year’s Eve, you can never go wrong with sequins.
Take for instance this gold Herve Leger formfitting sequined dress. With this dress hugging your body in all the right places, you’re sure to stand out at any party.
While we all obviously can’t afford a designer dress, there are plenty of sequined options at several price points. Don’t forget a pair of sky-high heels, and your final look of 2010 is complete.
