The UF MBA program at the Hough Graduate School of Business was ranked No. 24 among the nation’s full-time public programs by Bloomberg Businessweek.

In Bloomberg’s “2014 Best U.S. Business Schools,” UF was the only full-time program from the state of Florida, landing a spot at 48th overall among both public and private programs.

Yiming Wang, a student assistant at the Hough Graduate School of Business, wrote in an email that the business administration team admits the smartest candidates and helps students widen their connections during their two MBA years.

“Because of the hard working of the administration team, we make it easier to help find dream jobs,” Wang said. “That is the most important thing for MBA candidates: finding a future career.”

UF’s $26,264 cost is the least expensive among the top 25 public programs in the nation, according to the Warrington College of Business Administration website.

Bloomberg ranked the programs based on three criteria: a survey of student satisfaction, a survey of employees who hire graduates and faculty strength measured by research in esteemed journals.

“It (the ranking) makes me feel like I’m on the right track at the University of Florida,”  said Erica Neumark, a 19-year-old business managment sophomore.
