It’s been hot and nasty — the weather that is. According to the calendar, it’s supposed to be fall, and Gainesville seems to have only just gotten the memo. Although we’re still wearing our sheer tops and shorts, fall will come around in force eventually. Therefore, it’s never too early to prepare. There are so many items that should be included in a fall wardrobe, but nothing is more important than a great sweater.
Classic Cable Knit
This classic sweater works great for a clean cut look. The conservative appearance of cable knit sweaters work well when you’re going for a more put together vibe. Not to mention, they’re great to wear on those colder days (that we have yet to see). Pair it with a nice collared shirt, skinny jeans, some flats, and you’re good to go.
The Loose Fit
The opposite of the classic cable knit would be a loose fit sweater. For a more laid back look, a loose-fitting sweater is a must. It’s perfect for those long days spent in the library, or even when you’re cozied up with a cup of coffee at your favorite local spot. You can easily throw it on over a T-shirt or tank top. This more carefree look works very well for most college students on the go.
Graphic Print
Throw a little fun into your fall wardrobe with a few graphic print sweaters. These quirky designs add a little excitement to what would have been an ordinary look. Who doesn’t want to roll around with his or her favorite animal plastered to the front of a sweater?
But most importantly when shopping for the sweater of your dreams remember this: When in doubt, always go for something with elbow patches.
