When I first came to Gainesville, I struggled to find a place with affordable delicious salads. Croutons is convenient, but I always walk away hungry. I tried Subway salads, but the extent of their mix-ins only spanned the vegetables used to top their sandwiches – boring.

“Saturday Night Live” is bringing in Chris Pratt to host its 40th premiere episode Saturday at 11:30. Pratt is coming off a hugely successful summer after starring in Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy,” so it’s no surprise “SNL” has tapped him as the first host.

Imagine being given an ultimatum: convert or “die by the sword,” as ISIS, a terrorist organization in Syria and Iraq, would like to call it. Families have been torn apart -- women raped, homes burned and children beheaded as fathers were forced to watch.
I use the “normal” things in my everyday makeup routine: moisturizer, foundation, concealer, setting powder, blush, bronzer, eye shadow and mascara. But in between those steps I contour and highlight my face because it defines and makes my makeup look unique.
It’s been about a month since classes started, and my energy levels are almost down to zero. I’m sure a lot of you are feeling the same way.
