Column: Limited instant replay beneficial for baseball

Whether the Gators win or lose this year’s College World Series, Brian Johnson will always be remembered in Omaha. After an apparent Johnson home run was called a ground-rule double in Florida’s 8-4 win against Texas last season, instant replay has been implemented for the 2012 College World Series.

Liberty solves divisive issues, not the state

No one denies that the philosophical divide between Americans on the political left and right has only grown sharper in recent years. Bitter resentment and contempt for those of opposing views is commonplace. It often seems that the stronger the convictions or the more awareness one has of political issues, the more fervently one tends to see others as opponents.
