Off the Record Review: Kanye West's "The Life of Pablo" was well worth the wait

Kanye West finally released his highly anticipated album “The Life of Pablo” on Sunday. TLOP is Kanye’s seventh solo studio album in his impeccable discography. The album has been talked about a lot due to numerous album title changes, tracklisting changes and many rumors circulating with little credibility to them. Kanye first debuted several songs during his “Yeezy Season 3” fashion show, which took place in the sold out Madison Square Garden last Thursday. After his show, many news outlets got to speculating about which songs were which and tried to put together an official tracklist, with the guest features included. The album was supposed to be released last Thursday, but last minute changes delayed the project’s debut for another two days. Yeezy had been tweeting information about his album up until its release, and he even described it as a “gospel” album. We soon learned he wasn’t kidding.

Column: Is executive pay a cause of income inequality?

Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Donald Trump may seem extremely different in their views, but they are noticeably similar in their public appeal. Bernie is a democratic socialist who favors the European socialist way of running government, which involves government-imposed wealth equality via hefty taxes. Trump lies on the opposite end of the spectrum, believing in the magical powers of capitalism and pure competition. That’s right — a democratic socialist and the single-most capitalistic name in history could be duking it out this November. We may be in for quite the show.

Column: Bernie Sanders needs to be criticized

After his large win in New Hampshire, America seems to be “feeling the Bern” like never before. Many, including Hillary Clinton, had never thought that Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., could or would make it this far; and yet, here we are. Sanders is running a campaign espousing progressive policies that would ostensibly better this country, which has garnered largely positive reactions to his candidacy. However, good vibrations aside, it is important he receives valid criticism just as much as any other candidate in the race.

Editorial: New or old, insider or outsider, SG must be held to high expectations

As many had predicted, last night saw the Impact Party emerge victorious in the Spring 2016 election. The ascension of the Impact Party comes after what may have been one of the most insufferable Student Government election cycles in UF’s history, with few of the involved parties (no pun intended) emerging unscathed or without blemish. Keeping the utter insanity of the last week in mind, we’re relieved to see the election draw to a close.
