High Dive will host a food truck rally to support a local clinic this weekend.

On Saturday, High Dive is hosting its free food truck rally featuring discounted high-end foods, live music and an opportunity to help UF’s Mobile Outreach Clinic. The rally begins at 5 p.m. with a variety of vendors serving food ranging from Indian food to gelato, including vegan and vegetarian options.

According to High Dive’s facility and events manager Pat Lavery, High Dive has raised about $25,000 for charity through food truck rallies over the past five years.

One method of fundraising at the rally is a food truck competition, where attendees are able to vote for their favorite food truck with a donation. The winning food truck receives a $100 gift card to a local business and the money is donated to UF’s Mobile Outreach Clinic.

Lavery said High Dive chose to donate the money it raises to the Outreach Clinic because it is a well-organized charity with deep ties in the community.

The clinic provides primary care to unemployed or underinsured patients. It also has many specialty clinics.

According to Linda Guan, the clinic’s fundraising chair and lead coordinator, the money raised Saturday will benefit the clinic by improving the quality of care to make more resources available.

The Mobile Outreach Clinic helps a lot of people. However, it is funded mostly by grants and donations. In November, the clinic will be hosting its first-ever fundraising gala to support its clinical operations.

Some of the vendors at the rally include The Charcoal Grill, Miller’s Funnel Cakes, Monsta Lobsta and Woodson’s Wrap Shack. There will also be free live music inside of High Dive from performers Clout 9, Ben White and Hannah Joyce.

There are no tickets and attending the event is completely free. Consider stopping by to try new foods, listen to live music and benefit a meaningful cause.
