Good Neighbours stop in Gainesville for a backyard grad bash performance
By Michael Angee | May 8, 2025“Grad Bash,” a backyard show headlined by Good Neighbours, commemorated university graduates moving onto the next step of their lives.
Michael is a Spring 2026 photographer with The Alligator. He is a junior journalism major and it is his third semester on staff. In his free time he enjoys running, listening to music and attempting to perfect the same couple recipes time and time again.
“Grad Bash,” a backyard show headlined by Good Neighbours, commemorated university graduates moving onto the next step of their lives.
UF students and professors are once again expressing concerns — and annoyance — over the political implications of the state’s “Intellectual Freedom and Viewpoint Diversity Survey.”
Women made up about 30% of College of Engineering graduates in the 2023-2024 academic year, according to the most recent data from UF Institutional Planning and Research. In comparison, 57% of total degree recipients across the university that year were women.
More than 200 people gathered in a field near Southwest Recreation Center Monday evening to honor Nyla Holland, a UF student killed in a traffic collision outside the complex Sunday night.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, students will vote on Student Body President, vice president, treasurer and 50 student senators representing academic colleges. Election results are announced late Wednesday.
