A UF class will host a race to raise money for two children's organizations.

From 8 a.m. to noon Dec. 2, members of UF's special events class and other volunteers will walk or run five kilometers to raise support for the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation and Camp Kesem.

The charity marathon will begin at UF's Southwest Recreation Center across from the Harn Museum. Registration costs ,10 and begins at 7 a.m.

Toys for Tots is a Marine Corps organization that collects new, unwrapped gifts for underprivileged children each year.

Camp Kesem is a student-run summer camp for children whose parents have or have had cancer.
