A friend of mine told me she would be supporting Ron Paul in the next election, so I found his Web site and took a look at the section titled "Issues."

For a libertarian who is interested in, as Andrew Meyer so stirringly puts it, "freedom" and "liberty," Ron Paul sure has a contrary perspective on the "freedom" and "liberty" of women. His aim is to "negate the effect of Roe v. Wade by removing the ability of federal courts to interfere with state legislation to protect life."

Effectively, he wants to deprive women of the right to choose what happens to their own bodies, state by state. If that isn't government interference in the lives of individuals, then maybe I need to look up "hypocrisy" one more time.
