UF wide receiver Cornelius Ingram could join his roommate, Derrick Harvey, and forgo his senior season to enter the NFL Draft, according to a Yahoo! Sports report.
But not so fast, said Greg Bowie, Ingram's brother.
According to the Gainesville Sun, Ingram's decision to go to the NFL was not final.
"He's kind of torn," Bowie said. "He's looking at all the options. He's going to take his time and then make his decision."
Earlier in the day, Yahoo! Sports reported Ingram would be leaving UF.
"It was just my time," Ingram told Yahoo!. "My years with the Gators have been great. We won a championship, played some great games, and it has allowed me this chance now of reaching my goal of playing in the NFL."
Ingram and his parents could not be reached for comment Thursday night or Friday morning.
Ingram, a converted basketball player and quarterback, was the team's No. 4 wide receiver with 34 catches for 508 yards and seven touchdowns this season.
With top receivers Percy Harvin and Louis Murphy returning next year, Ingram's chances of bettering those stats by a great deal were minimal.
The departure of Ingram, who sometimes lined up at tight end, combined with the transfer of Jarred Fayson opens the door for freshmen tight end Aaron Hernandez and wide receiver Deonte Thompson to see bigger roles in spring practice.
