Former DT Harris' BCS ring supposedly being sold on eBay

In what has become a trend, another UF football national championship ring is being sold on eBay, but this time there is a name attached to the prized piece of jewelry.

According to the auction description, the ring belonged to former UF defensive tackle Steven Harris, who now plays for the Denver Broncos. The seller even included a photo of the ring with the word "Harris" adorning one of the sides.

Harris told the Orlando Sentinel through a Broncos spokesman that the ring being sold did not belong to him.

That means somebody, Harris or the auction seller, is not telling the truth.

The bidding does not close until Sunday, so expect eBay to cancel the auction altogether amid this controversy.

Each player received three rings for the 2007 championship season, one for the SEC title, one from the BCS and one issued by the team.

Rings had previously been auctioned off on eBay without the owner's name in the description. One seller had said the name of the UF football player or personnel wouuld only be released to the person who won the auction.
