Vanderbilt running backs coach Kenny Carter has left the Commodores to fill the same spot at UF, according to an Orlando Sentinel report.
Carter, who also served as the recruiting coordinator at Vanderbilt, did not answer a call to his cell phone.
Carter replaces Stan Drayton, who, like Carter, took a lateral move to an Southeastern Conference school by going to Tennessee in January.
UF still has one assistant vacancy to fill after safeties coach John "Doc" Holliday left for West Virginia in January.
